Ripped denim hasn’t been big since the grunge days of the 90s… so it may come as a surprise that it is back as a fashion trend for women in Spring-Summer 2008. Kate Moss wore ripped denim shorts in a shoot for April 2008′s Vogue Paris, and then they spotted these shots of Gisele Bundchen on set with Mario Testino in a revealing torn denim outfit.

On the runways, Christopher Kane’s Spring/Summer 2008 collection brought faded and torn skinny jeans back onto the agenda. Maison Martin Margiela’s collection was also littered with shredded up denim pieces (below, right) that took ripped denim to the extreme. Read more →

Dsquared² is my favorite for Fall 2009/2010 hair and make-up. You can’t go wrong with this center parted soft wavy hair. And who doesn’t love a smoky eye? Here, the smoky eye is done in a dark grey shadow, lips are nuetral and cheek pinched blush is applied. Tweeze those brows, add a black eyeliner, mascara, and your ready to go!

Jil Sander’s Fall 09 hair style is a soficticated modern version of a 1950′s secretary look. The hair has a large side part, which is neatly slicked back in to a perfect twisted and pinned bun. The make-up is pale and invisible, with the lashes brushed neatly in place. Read more →
