Diane von Furstenberg Fall 2010 Collection

Diane von Furstenberg Fall 2010 Collection
“I always wanted to live a man’s life in a woman’s body.” – Diane von Furstenberg

Diane von Furstenberg played with textures and prints for her Fall 2010 Collection. Sexy chiffon dresses, skirts and sheer blouses, peg-leg trousers and cropped jackets – all this can be found in Diane von Furstenberg’s collection.

Some of the most interesting are simple black shift with chain mail inset horizontally below the hips, a twenties-ish belted chiffon tunic dress worn over cropped pants, and a vibrant panne velvet number embellished with a giant glittering beetle, not unlike the dress von Furstenberg wore to take her bow.

Designs of the dresses looks stylish and cosy, as if they were made to be worn by the indy artist who never forgets that she is a woman.

You can also find some menswear notes in this collection, and it’s another trend of the New York Fashion Week.

Unlike most fashion designers that have chosen to stick to basic black and white colors because of the financial crisis, Diane von Furstenberg mixed fashion and fun in bright colored dresses, skirts and oversized embellished off shoulder sweaters.

In addition I want to say that I trully love each item of Diane von Furstenberg’s Fall 2010 Collection, and that rarely happens with me :) and I’m sure that she can do no wrong and every piece would be ideal for any woman’s wardrobe.
