Moschino Cheap & Chic 2010 Collection

Moschino Cheap & Chic helped open Milan Fashion Week to a fun start. I mean, what’s not fun about a tote with ‘Fashion is full of chic’ sprawled across the front.
Rosella Jardini’s Spring/Summer 2010 collection for the Moschino takes the form of 60s mod meets flower power loving hippies. Daises appeared on feminine jumpsuits, chiffon blouses, pink shorts and ruffle neck black, white and pink print dresses. If the reference wasn’t clear enough, Jardini added white petals to a yellow straw hats, creating an aerial view of a daisy and used them for the frames of sunglasses.
If you love the daisy print, you’ll like the the heart motive that Moschino is known for. Hearts were used all over skinny belts styled with mini skirts and appeared on the breast of a white babydoll dress not to mention that huge pink heart at the back of the runway.
It wasn’t all about prints. Ironically the monchrome looks really stood out, as well as bright pop colours like oranges, yellows and blues styled on A-line dress and blouses. Like we’ve seen over the last few days, hemlines were very short, which were juxtaposed with maxi dress that beautifully touched the floor.
As per usual, the world may be going though a crisis but the Moschino chic is forever optimistic.
