Y-3 Fall 2010 Menswear Collection

Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto has presented the new Y-3 Fall 2010 menswear collection at the Paris fashion week. But Y-3 fans received not only this one present. The second is that famous soccer player Zinedine Zidane attended the launch of the Y-3 Spring 2010 ad campaign and also a surprise preview of the Y-3 Fall 2010 collection.

For the coming season, Yohji Yamamoto is inspired by the tension of two opposite aesthetic ideals: Tradition and Future.

Yohji Yamamoto expressed this idea through the use of a traditional color palette of charcoal grey, black & white juxtaposed by strong pop colors of kelly green, purple and sapphire with traditional silhouettes done up in technically advanced fabrics.

Shoes provides a further example of Fall 2010 theme where traditional sports styles are highlighted by silver, bright purple and orange color accents that pop and push the futuristic idea further.
